Summer Leadership Institute Diploma Modules

 

LOCATION


The CAIS Summer Leadership Institute will take place in Halifax, NS at the beautiful Halifax Grammar School on July 5-9, 2026. Optional accommodation is available at the University of St. Mary's residences.

Program Overview


  • The Summer Leadership Institute is designed for emerging and experienced leaders in independent schools.
  • Participants may register for up to three modules, each running concurrently across three sessions.
  • Attendance in all sessions is required for module credit.
  • A minimum of 10 participants is required for each module.
  • The Summer LI program is open to faculty and staff from CAIS schools as well as non-CAIS schools.
    • Modules are priced at $645 for CAIS schools and $770 for non-CAIS schools.
    • Fees include program costs, meals during sessions including two dinners, and materials. Travel and accommodations are not included.
  • Participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements.
  • Optional accommodations are available at the Saint Mary's University Loyola North residence for $95 per night. If desired, please select this option on the registration form.
  • If the module you would like to take is full, you can register to join the waitlist.

Program Highlights

  • Welcome reception on Sunday, July 5.
  • Dinners provided on Monday, July 6 and Wednesday, July 8.

Participants committed to completing the full Diploma Program are required to take the Foundations for School Leadership Program.

Please note: The Foundations for School Leadership Program is full for Summer 2026. You can register to join the waitlist.
