Strengthen Your School Leadership

CAIS values the constant and deliberate quest for excellence, and we recognize the vital leadership role that governors play, in partnership with Heads, in the success of our schools. We want all of our schools to have strong Heads who focus on supporting the students of the present, but we also want strong Boards that focus on supporting the students of the future.

The Governance Guide include new learning on a number of areas, including Human Resources, Risk Management, Head Transitions, and Consent Agendas.

Online all the Time

CAIS is committed to learning opportunities that do not require travel. Our most popular online learning resource is our Top 12, that is shared weekly with over 1200 leaders. We research the most topical articles each week in our industry based on our 12 National Standards, and we also welcome suggestions from our community!

Each year, we host webinars - often in the spring! - on national topics that are most relevant to our leaders. To launch our first ever series, we found leaders in each of our 12 National Standards to focus on the key strategic issues and share strategy.

Whenever possible, we strive to invest in research that schools most need, so we can avoid duplication of efforts in our 95 schools. For example, when Canada introduced Anti-spam legislation, we partnered with Deloitte and developed a toolkit. When schools asked about gender and sexuality issues, we asked BLG and students to guide us.

All of our webinars are posted in CAIS Connect, so leaders can really learn online all the time.

Finally, we support 12 national networks through targeted webinars, national engagement forums, and cohort groups. Please contact the office for more information.
