Strengthen Your School Leadership

CAIS values the constant and deliberate quest for excellence, and we recognize the vital leadership role that governors play, in partnership with Heads, in the success of our schools. We want all of our schools to have strong Heads who focus on supporting the students of the present, but we also want strong Boards that focus on supporting the students of the future.

The Governance Guide include new learning on a number of areas, including Human Resources, Risk Management, Head Transitions, and Consent Agendas.

Workshop Overview

Over 40% of students will be freelancers in the gig economy when they enter the workforce. As the world changes, it is imperative that school strategy focuses on cultivating entrepreneurialism.

Learn best practices from the world’s most successful startups and gain hands on experience with easily implementable frameworks that can be leveraged for your own organizational success.

The Future Ready Institute for School Leaders is a unique professional development opportunity that is part futuring exercise, part creative problem-solving experience and part entrepreneurial bootcamp. Participants will be challenged to move beyond talking about how the future is changing, to thinking deeply about how-to future proof their students, and their institutions, through tangible and immediate action.

Facilitated by a successful entrepreneur with real-world experience starting and scaling companies as well as designing transformative strategy for some of the world’s biggest brands; learn about the skills and competencies the world’s leading companies are looking for and the ways in which you can enable students to develop demonstrable capabilities. Reflect on the responsibilities and actions school leaders need to take today in order to better prepare students for this quickly emerging future.

Participants Will Learn

Over the course of the day you will work in teams to dig deeply into critical elements of entrepreneurship and work to deliberately design an experiment, or prototype, to take back and test in your school. Leveraging best practices from systems engineering, management science, agile methodology and user centered design; you will leave with practical and actionable strategic insights to drive effective, impactful and immediate change.
