2009 Senior Girls and Boys Invitational Rugby Tournament

Dear CAIS Heads, Directors of Athletics, and Rugby Coaches:

As the Chair of the Permanent Tournament Committee of the CAIS Senior Boys and Girls Invitational Rugby Tournaments, I am pleased to send out this invitation to all CAIS schools regarding the 2009 event. 

This year, the tournaments will be hosted by St. Andrew’s College (boys) and Country Day School (girls) in Ontario on April 17, 18, and 19, 2009.

Interested schools are asked to contact Andre Simard at Stanstead College to confirm your acceptance of this invitation to participate in the 2009 tournaments.

The regular deadline date of October 31, 2008 has been extended to NOVEMBER 20, 2008 for this year only due to the lateness of this invitation. 

Please indicate clearly the levels at which you intend to participate – Senior Girls and/or Senior Boys.

It is important to understand that all CAIS schools new to this event would only be accepted for this year’s tournament if there were an opening due to a regular participant school deciding not to participate this year.  Applications are usually made at least a year in advance of a school’s intended participation.  Therefore, those schools which may be interested in participating in 2010 and future tournaments should send an application letter to Andre Simard at the coordinates above, or to Susan Beazley at Armbrae Academy, no later than April 15, 2009 declaring their interest in order to be considered and guaranteed spots in those future tournaments.
